The 'Cherry Popping' Post
Alas, I have finally succumbed to the temptation..
Being the non-internet savvy homosapien that I have always been, never in eons would I've ever had imagined that I would eventually be a part of the mass that blogs.. Call it influence, an urge to be heard or the need to reach out.. To a great extent, I feel it is a pretty well balanced concoction of all 3 ingredients.
An immense igniting factor for me taking the plunge into this whole blogging phoenomena would definitely be my woman, Charis, for it was her who got me started noticing blogs and I will be deadpan honest in telling you that intially, I had this pre-conceieved notion that blogging was some new radical online gaming extravaganza.. Well, as you would have guessed by now, Charis blogs as well and the thing about her blog is that it actually makes blogging look cool, just like what John 'Suck my bleedin' Scientology nuts' Travolta did for bell-bottoms in Saturday Night Fever. One may feel that there are a number of better blogs online and truth be told that indeed, of course I have not viewed all the blogs out there and there are equally good ones as well, but do understand that hers was the first that I was most formally and elaborately introduced to and coupled with the fact that I am madly in love with her, led to the rather affectionate, yet harmlessly opinionated view.
I must also admit that another key factor in starting a blog would be due to the huge amount of lame ass blogs out there.. I am talking about blogs where people glorify themselves in all facets, be it about their looks, their lifestyles, their mundane assets and conquests; bitch about others over trivial immature issues and so on and so forth. Blogs like these are such a waste of space on the world wide web. I honestly do not think these people realise that folks are actually dying by the seconds in Africa.. Or maybe they do and they do not give a rat's ass.. Or maybe its just me and I tend to over-indulge in my thoughts.
I realised that at this point, I could really go on and on but I better get to the business end of the chainsaw. Yes, I have begun blogging and as long as I continue to blog, I hope my posts would provide a moment to you folks out there, whatever the subject matter may be. You are probably pondering what kind of moment am I stressing about.. I suppose there are no specifics really.
